The Geckos kicked off the summer outdoor season with an introductory session at Cattlestop Crag with some instruction around safe transitioning from climbing to lowering, how to clean a route etc. A warm afternoon with great views back over Christchurch.
The Geckos are indebted as always to Tony Burnell for continuing to introduce another generation of climbers to the outdoors, and to the other volunteers who give up their time to instruct, supervise and transport our budding climbers.
More of Conor’s photos from today’s session here, including some airtime for Rātā on the second page. 😀
