20/21 National Leadclimbing Championships

Following up on our strong performance in the Speedclimbing Championships, the Geckos rocked on up to The Wall in Rotorua full of enthusiasm and put in another strong showing, which ended up with the Flying Geckos taking out the 2021 National Team Trophy!

A huge thanks to our coach Rowan, and to Al, Andrew, Angela, Caroline, Conor, Chris, Doug, Emily, James, Katie, Lily, Louise, Matt, Nicola, Rachael, Rob & Sally for all the logistical assistance and laughs. A particular thanks also to Sally for all her efforts both before and during the weekend with leading the catering for such a large group.

Thanks also due to Matt Parrett and Mountain Adventure for their generous sponsorship of the new athlete tops we were able to proudly show off this weekend. Looking very smart!
